Help! I don't know what to do with my hair!!!! Should I just hack it off???

My hair is just past my butt and the shortest it's been in a while was just past the middle of my back when the idiot cutting it went to high a couple years ago ( I was getting ready for my wedding and wanted long hair under my veil so I was pissed, my poor husband was even more mad, he loves long hair) The last time it was shorter than that I was 10 and it was right below my chin, I'm now almost 25 so I don't know how that would look but I'm positive I don't want it that short, it got too poofy. My problem is I ain't the cutest of girls(ok the best I can say is I'm not a dog or scary)so I don't like really short where it reveals your entire face. I was thinking layers with the shortest starting under my chin but I don't know, I haven't had bangs in over a decade and thought that might be interesting to try. However short I cut it will definitely be enough to donate to locks of love. So should I go ahead and hack it off? And I think I have an oval face.

of course!!! But if you decide to go ahead and do it, whatever you do you have to have bangs. And not those bangs that are cut straight across (that's old school) but have them cut to the side.

maybe cut it to like about a little under your shoulders for the length. get layers. and side swept bangs i think.

yes donate that hair to locks of love. those kids need the hair more than you do. plus you can grow yours back.

Even though I haven't seen you, I go to school with a girl who has amazingly long hair down to her but.

She doesn't do anything with it, just lets it "hang"

I really dont like this look on most girls because the hair can often look drab and lifeless.

However long hair that is masterfully cut can look really, really beautiful.

Soo, I think, you should have a crack at a few layers and a side fringe just to shape your face and to give your hair a bit of volume. You should definitely keep the length, a long side fringe will soften your face and make your hair look less like a curtain.

I really don't advise hacking it off, trust me, it wont work out.

Go to a pro, think about it thoroughly and make sure when you walk out of the salon your going to feel awesome!

there is nothing worse than a **** haircut.
