he wont sit still for anyone to cut his hair paticularly around his face and it is going in his eyes which has to suck does anyone know anything i can give him or do to calm him down where i can cut his hair?

you may need some help from a very gentle soft spoken person to hold him while you trim with sissors (not electric clippers, the noise will frighten the poor darling to death), and give lots of treats and loves afterwards.

it takes patience, all dogs have to learn. if you start grooming as a puppy they will sit still, if not, you have to teach them to sit still

I have a ten pound poodle myself and often I have to trim around her face myself. Sometimes when they're fast asleep it isnt always an option especially if they're laying on the side you need to trim on. Decide when you want to trim, keep the scissors by you on the couch on the other side of the where the dog will lay, just wait til its really relaxed and perhaps even dozing off. Works everytime!
