I am scared that if i wash my dog blanket in the washer that the hairs will end up on my clothes.Wha

Easy trick: take the blanket outside %26amp; shake it like crazy before washing it! I have done this for years with dog blankets, beds, and towels I have used for drying them after bathing. This simple extra step works wonders.

Go ahead and wash it and when it is finished I wipe it out with a damp paper towel.

Chances are you have dog hair on your clothes already so it would be no different if you held your dog then washed your **** than if you washed the dogs blanket.

'Fraid so.

If you wash them in a separate load it will minimize the hair transfer.

I know people who have separate machines for their clothes and the dog blankets. I wish I did. Someday......

Take the blankets to the laundromat. But be polite and clean out the machines when you are done.

Wash the dog blanket separate from the clothes, then run the washer through a cycle with nothing in it before you wash clothes in it.

I always washed my Dogs blanket, and beds separately from out clothes Should be okay then.

Wash it alone. Remove the blanket and then put the washer through the rinse cycle again, empty.

I have a small blanket for my cats. They're always on my bed, so that has a little hair on it, too. I just washed the blanket with the sheets. When you put everything in the dryer, the hair will come out in the lint trap. (I guess this will work if you allow your dog on your bed.)

wash it without the rest of your clothing

I would take it to the laundromat and put it in one of the industrial washers there. It will cost a couple of dollars, but it will save you a lot of stress trying to defur all your clothes in the future! :)

Wash the blanket in a separate load. It will be fine.

Wash the dog blanket by itself or before you thrw itin with the regular wash put it in the dryer for a few minutes and the lint filter will take the hair off the blanket then wash it!

Do your dog blanket and your clothes in a separate load.

Well there are a few choices, you can put the blanket through the dryer so that the lint catcher catches most of the hair, but wether you choose to do so or not you should wash it seperate from any other clothes, then make sure you run an emty load. You can also wash it along with rags used for messes, this helps catch the hair. Or you can also take it to the laundry mat. I know alot of people who do this, just remember the people who will use the washer after you.

Why don't you use a lint ball in your washer. It will catch all hair etc...

I wash my dog blankets with my washer and the hairs don't get on my clothes after I wash the blanket. So it will be okay. I hope you have a lint trap on your hose though, there will be a lot of hair. I even have a nice dryer which removes all the hair from his blanket.

Does he shed that much? The dryer will take all the extra hair out.I have never had that problem when I wash and dry my dog covers and cushions.....
