How can I persuade my dad to let my dog sleep in my room?

I have a very nice Samoyed dog. My dad agreed for her to sleep in the house but. . . I love her sooo much. I want her to sleep in my room(on my bed). My dad hates all the hair and fur falling from my sweet doggy. He will never let her in my room :((

I need your help. Help me think of a way to persuade my dad.

no trust me thats not a good idea, i wanted to do the same thing but as much as i love dogs it is gross.

i mean they could step on poo and pee and then lay on your bed.

also their fur gets everywhere and after a while your bed spmells and you start smelling like a dog!! not a good idea but its your choice!!

well, it will be sort of hard. i mean i love my dogs sleeping in my room but it's hard to get them in there when they have learned not to. and sometimes they wake up really early in the morning so you have to wake up with them. just tell him you're old enough and you can take care of them.

so, if you are absolutely sure you want your dog to sleep on your bed, then tell your dad that you don't mind the fur and that you can use lint rollers and will vacuum in your room more frequently if the dog can sleep on the bed.

just show him you are responsible. you are the caretaker for the dog, so you will care for him.

don't be surprised if the dog pushes you off the bed though...and that occasional puddle of pee on your bed if your dog isn't fully housebroken (but even so, housebroken dogs can still have accidents).

perhaps consider having the dog sleep on the floor next to your bed?

it might be easier to convince your dad if you are willing to settle for the dog to sleep at the foot of your bed.

I think the best way to convince your dad is if you start making a major effort to keep her well-groomed. If you brush her for just a few minutes every day, you'll remove the fur before it has a chance to shed and get all over the house. You can also pitch-in by vacuuming the house twice a week to remove the pet hair that your dad hates. If your room is already a mess, you should keep it really clean so that your dad can't use that as evidence that it'll only get worse if the dog starts hanging out in there. I love having my dogs sleep on my bed with me, but they really do make a mess and I have to wash my sheets and covers more often. I think these links might help....basically, exposing yourself to doggie antigens will protect you against allergies later in life.
