HOw big do they get????

When they are full grown can they still fit in a bag or larger purse???

YES their hair gets long unless you cut it. I already told you to do your research about their size, and go to GOOGLE images and type in "Maltese"!

Maltese are a lot of work in the grooming area. You have to keep their coats tangle free, clean up around their eyes, and make sure they have a great diet because they are susceptible to allergies in their food.

They are a great little dog. There are no such things as teacups or mini maltese. They are all just TOY BREED maltese.

They can have some problems like liver shunts, teeth crowding, diabetes and other things if they are bred too small.

1) Yes their hair grows constantly and without frequent grooming will be subject to painful mats.

2) 4-6lbs AKC standards but mine got to 10 lbs (not overweight, just big)

3) Yes but that should never be the deciding factor in getting a dog. They are living, breathing things that require love and constant care, not accessories.

yes the hair will be very long and drag the floor. they require alot of brushing or you can take them to groomer and keep them clipped to make it easier to manage.

they are small but that will depend on breed lines. i pet sit two maltese,one is about 7-8lbs. and the other is about 10lbs. and taller than the first one.

Uh-oh. If you don't like their 'long, ugly' hair, do not buy one! Do not buy one if you just want it to sit there and look pretty in your purse - dogs are living things, not fashion accessories! Please reconsider this!
