We own a chowchow from reputable breeder whose litters place well in dog shows. He has multiple color

He is primarily red/cream but areas of gray and varying colors have appeared...1 yr old male. Is this normal? will it eventually turn into primary color as he gets older? he also has longer wisps of hair along spine that range from cinnamon red to gray/black. These appear as permanent adult hair versus the thick baby fur. Could it be thyroid or other issues? He is on raw diet, and a mix of the best of natural dry dog food, filtered water.

Is this just his undercoat showing through, perhaps?

I would be discussing this with the breeder.

Are you seeing the undercoat? If your dog's a cinammon, they often have grey undercoat. For details, you really should talk to your dog's breeder - they'll have all the answers you want.
