Does anyone know what breed my dog is?

My cousin gave me his almost two year old dog, and he had no idea what breed he was. We brought him to the vet, and the vet didn't know either. So, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Heres his picture.

He doesn't have a hunch back it was the way his hair was. I can answer any questions that will help.

Probably some sort of Maltese or Poodle mix, but there's so many breeds that can lead to a "Benji" dog, it's impossible to be sure.

People are going in for cross-breeds these days because of 'hybrid vigour' and the Maltese terrier is very often used as a base. My daughter has a dog very much like yours and he is a Maltese/Shih Tzu cross and very intelligent.

Hi there my mother in law has 3 Maltese x Shihtzu they all look similar but different and your resembles one of hers if that's any help he's cute dose his coat fill soft if it dose that's the Maltese coat

He is a poodle cross. Could be some Lhasa Apso in there too. He is a good old American Heinz 57.
